It's for a 223 - I believe it needs to be a miniDoes it have to be a mini?
I've installed some of these:

I like them; they come with detailed instructions.
Do you happen to know if PTG supplies a drawing to make the cut?I've had good luck with PTG. Some people diss them pretty bad, but I've never had an issue.
With all due respect, do not use the PTG instructions, as you will cut away quite a bit of the bolt lug if you make the cut at 45 degrees. NOT GOOD! Their instructions do not mention a .223 case head either. Get your dimensions from an already functioning bolt as this cut is quite deep and it's easy to ruin a bolt. My personal choice of Mini M16 extractors is the one made by Defiance Machine. A nice little unit and great people to deal with.

All good my friend. The 45 degree angle was their solution to cases ejecting to high from the extractor and hitting the windage turrets on the scope. Oh sure, lets CUT half of the locking lug away to lower the ejection angle!! What could possibly go wrong!! You just cannot make this stuff up.I deleted the post - shoulda looked closer at it. My 4th axis on my mill will rotate to 3 decimal places. Close enough! Lol. Walt is correct, as it is absolutely critical that is exactly 90 degrees. More or less, and it will not function correctly. The biggest key to installing the m16 style extractor, is a way to precisely rotate the bolt 90 degrees to drill the pin hole. Figure that out before you start cutting anything.

I've not installed one but it seems to be SOP with a rotary table on a manual mill..similar to the pin on an aftermarket bolt stop.My 4th axis on my mill will rotate to 3 decimal places.
