For Mil-Dot training get a copy of "The Varmint Hunter" magazine number 62. Great article by Gordy Gritters. He makes it simple to understand.

For training and practice go to this site. WWW.ShooterReady.com

Their computer progam,CD) was about $42.00 last year.
Great program!

I would suggest this on-line article right here--
www.ottllc.com/specialtypistols/sp20.pdf under Item C) Reticle Rangefinding for a simple modification of the mil-ranging formula that allows it be used for the most accurate system of rangefinding with any reticle, not just the mil-dot. It also allows it be used more accurately than the std. milliradian in a mil-dot optic that's mil-calibrated for a power less than the highest; when used at the optics highest power. It's very well applied with any simple plex reticle especially, in the typical big game scope.

Interestingly in the same TVHM magazine that was referenced above there's an in-depth article on the same system on pg. 10, "Reticle-Rangefinding Made Easy." On 1 of the pages of the article the caption that should've been below the Burris Ballistic Mil-Dot reticle pic. was put into the text of the article--just look for the paragraph that doesn't seem to fit in.
