lol. I'll take it. That would be nice. Assuming I get a chance to get my new scope to the range and sight in before the clinic.....too much snow up here still

Bump for Scott, break out the snow shovels guys. Time to shoot!!

Re: Midwestern F-Class Shooters! Here is the 2014 Schedule of Matches.

We got a fresh foot of snow last night/this morning.

The wind clinic is still ON.

In preparation for the wind clinic, this weekend's work duty will include snow blowers. :)

Too bad it looks like I'm going to have to miss the wind clinic this time around, planning ot hit up a couple of the competitions though.

looks like it's shaping up to be nice weather for the clinic.

Re: Midwestern F-Class Shooters! Here is the 2014 Schedule of Matches.

Range update: I spent a couple hours in the tracked skidsteer yesterday clearing the 600 yard firing line. It is clear and drying nice with the warm weather and wind. Forum member Leo Huhta spent the same amount of time in the pits snowblowing and clearing under the counter-weights. We will finish preparations Sunday with target repairs and some more snow removal.

I would recommend that even experienced shooters make the time to attend the clinic. If you learn something that gains you one point or X, it will be worth it.

I'll be going to the equipment evaluation at ERSC tomorrow. Just clarifying that I need to be there at about 5:30pm or so?

Will any of you be there?

I plan to be there for the equip eval. Is it simply three shots on paper and no 20 round match tonight?

Re: Midwestern F-Class Shooters! Here is the 2014 Schedule of Matches.

We review your equipment, then verify on paper that your rifle/scope has the ability to go 16MOA of elevation from a 100 yard zero and tracks consistently. Typically 3 shots at 100, 3 shots 5 MOA up, then 3 shots 11 MOA up, then back down 11 MOA for 3 shots. You are welcome to shoot more if you like.

No 20 rd match, but we will be asking you to shoot 3-4 3 shot groups (to verify your scope tracking).

Yes, there are more than a few forum members who will be there tonight.

already working on brownie points with my wife so I can get permission to come to a few matches. this one match a year thing I've had going just isn't enough to get my skill up.....there's something about shooting in a match that makes me shoot better.....

Scott,

Sinicerely appreciate you & the Elk River Sportsman Club for including the Forks Rifle Club dates (Grand Forks, ND) in your post. I have really been behind the power curve this yr and every little bit of help is awesome.

Sorry I missed the wind clinic, but I missed the chance shooting with the guys (SaunaKing, RemDog, No Slack, FPSkills, Emenem83, Fast Eddie and all the other guys/gals) at ERSC even more.. I can say it was warmer in TX and it was a proud family moment.. ;)

Rod,
You are always with us in spirit. 16" of snow yesterday so we timed the clinic well. Congrats on your daughter's graduation and tell her thanks from all of us down here.

first Grand Forks match is a go, and so is the Mid Range championships. Going to have to see about powder availability before I even think about any other matches

NODAK7MM just dropping you a
note. I'm in your country working at the new hospital on 94 the Sanford health center. Checked out the underground range in Fargo but it's opening after i'm done up here. Oh well keep us posted on it because sooner or later I will shoot there. See you at your match.

With my scope in the shop, hoping it'll be ready for the first GF match, after that, I have no real guarantees until the MN state midrange championships....hopefully by then I'll have my new rifle and I will no longer be able to blame my scores on my equipment ::)
