Midwest 415

I'm waiting for "Similar to Unique" to be available again. That stuff goes fast. Honestly though as I just looked, since they are $209.99 I may look at standard commercial powders. You can find Vihtavuori for 279.99 with known load data. I'm a cheapskate as I have to be but at $10 a pound difference for unknown powder. The upside is their price is delivered.
went to their website — we used to buy powder for 10 bucks a pound or less. seems like with surplus or pull down powder you never know if you will be able to get more. id rather pay the extra 100 for 8 pounds and have a better chance of getting more down the road. mite be a moot point as i see they are all out of stock at american.

Yeah they stay out of stock. I guess the reloading crunch has got more people buying from them and the market is setting the price. Maybe as things return we will see surplus/pulldown trend back down.

Honestly, I havent bought much rifle powder the past 4 years from American except for some of their black friday discounted sales when you buy 16lb or 32lb.. And even then its been things like MW H335, AA2230 or 2250 to run large qtys of 5.56 on my automated 1050 for AR plinking rounds.... Prices just arent the huge crazy deal they used to be... Hopefully they come back down.

The other powders are great like MW IMR4451, MW AR Comp, MW 8208, MW VVN550, MW VVN133 but the price the MW powders have risen to, I just buy the real thing for a few more dollars.....

I have been buying their 8lb pistol powders for my 9mm, 45acp and 10mm which can still be had for a good deal in the $125-$145 per jug range.

Here's some load development targets from some of the American Reloading MW powders I use of the past few years..

Keep checking back, same thing then in a week they had it i bought it quickly, shoots real good, the powder said like hodgdon 335 ,that's what I used to load. I did alot of tests it worked great. I think I'll buy about 16 lbs next time. Good luck they'll get some in stock
