Hello all -

I seldom order from MidwayUSA anymore, but they sent me a circular; Sierra Bullets are on sale, and orders over $49 get free shipping. The shipping is a little slow (two weeks out for me), but free. I needed some 77 gr. .224's for service rifle reloading, so it was win-win for me.

Just a heads-up, if anyone else is in the same boat.

If you want to speed up the free shipping just add a box of ammo to your order. The post office cannot ship ammo, so it will ship UPS and get there a lot sooner. I used to just add a cheap box of .22 ammo to every order, but they are out of it, so I just bought one box of target 12 ga shot shells in my order today. It will be here in a couple days.

I'm ordering a lot more from Midway than Brownells this year due to that $49 free shipping and since Brownells has cut out free shipping apparently to drive people to sign up for Edge. Prices are about the same between these two sellers and my latest orders have arrived in a reasonable amount of time. No complaints. Now if we could just get rid of internet sales tax!

The one thing you get from Brownells that no one else offers is free returns for any reason, over the last couple of years I had purchased a lot of stuff I didn't need and returned it, no questions ask and free return shipping, now I have powder and other things I will use, I ended up with over 1K in credit.

Good point - on the few occasions I've returned items to Brownells the process is about as painless as it gets.

I ordered some items from Brownells on Wed, and shipping was $4.95/economy via Fedex. Box arrived yesterday (saturday ). I know lots of on-line places indicate shipping can/may/will/is delayed but I've never had an issue with not receiving items in what I call a timely fashion. All items have been rec'd before they indicated it would/could be shipped, so....

Never again for (Natchez shooters supply) . they show in stock items and charged my card then wait and wait and wait only to have them tell you they don't know what happened. None in stock , sorry have a nice day stupid!! We will process your refund some day ! Just be patient !

Problem I have with Brownells is you order something that’s in stock, after a few days it hasn’t shipped, you call and they tell you shipping is slow because of Covid, a couple more days and it still hasn’t shipped, you call back and are told the item was out of stock (it showed in stock when I ordered) then I’m told the truth, the website isn’t real time so they may be sold out even though their site showed in stock.

I'll walk away from those if I can beat or equal it somewhere else without the sales tax. Some even try to charge a tax above my state/local tax, Is that even legal? I wonder how many actually send that tax to all the other states. Very few I'd bet.
