Midway Sure Post strikes again

Years of consistently good service from MidwayUSA. Also, the Potterfield family has been a great contributor to the Shooting Sports. We need more like Larry Potterfield!

I used to complain to Midway on a constant basis when they did not give you a choice on shipping Surepost vs UPS. I would tell them that UPS drives down my street daily, but because they wanted to save a buck they used Surepost and it would take two days more to get delivered. Now, and I can't remember when they changed?, but they give you the option of Surepost vs straight UPS. If I want it fast I pay a couple bucks more and have it delivered UPS. But no I have the option.

Okay.. Now get this: A weeka go I ordered a new range finder off of Amazon. They flagged the order as not being able to ship to my PO box. Sp I put my street address. Guess where it ended up. Yup In my PO box..

Ordered today and asked for the UPS option. 2 days faster and 2 dollars more.

Midway has had my business for many years with a few exceptions when they were just way too high on a item or items. I've practically lived in the MIDWAY USA T-Shirts for the last 20 years too. I have over a dozen of them. But the bastards stopped making the T-shirts I live in, so now I shop every item I buy. Over the years, hundreds of people have come up to me and started a conversation because I was wearing a Midway USA shirt. I felt betrayed by them when they quite selling those shirts. Oh, they were the best t-shirts, quality wise, I've ever owned too, so I was helping them, help me. Kind of a symbiotic relationship they severed.

Wherever we buy from we have the option of shipping. It’s not a Midway issue, it’s the damn post office! Midway cares about us, the PO does not! They are great supporters of the NRA for quite some time now. Is the P.O.!?!? Nuf said....

I'm going to go with USPS issues. I have a package shipped FROM Ocala Florida to OCALA Florida and it took 5 days because it had to go to Jacksonville and sit for 3 days first. And no one knows why they go red every year on their budget.

The biggest problem Midway has (and I’ve purchased a lot from them) is competition.

I can usually find what I’m looking for from other sources for less money (price + shipping)

My last order from midway was actually surprising. I ordered 2-500 round count boxes of bullets, they were in midways repacked supply boxes but they were also completely surrounded by solid packing foam, not possible for them to move around anywhere. My last order was unruly so its been a while since I ordered from Midway but it seems like they took note of these threads.

I'd be scared to know how much I've ordered from Midway over the years. The last few years they've had more things on back order than they used to, but I'm not sure whose fault that is. But, any of the main shippers using the post office for delivery suffer delays. The post office is the stumbling block, not the vendors.
When using Fedex, UPS, or DHL you always know where your package is, and when it will be delivered. When the USPS is involved your package vanishes for days before it shows up in their tracking system. It's pretty bad.
If given a choice, USPS comes in last each time for me. I never pick them unless I have no choice.

Midway has always delivered for me. On time and never lost an order. So has Grafs. And Powder Valley and Bruno anyone else. Lying Larry Potterfield ? YGTBSM. I don't really understand what these posts are about, sort of like children on Facebook bantering.

Extremely little to no experience with texting, never have seen or heard the acronym explained in my past. Guess there is some truth in the phrase "I must be leading a very sheltered life........ Bob.

Midway gets stuff to me quick, shop there plenty, other places too. USPS and UPS Fedex all of them could break a short 2x4 wrapped in foam.
I see failure with 1 heavy item in a big empty box with flimsy air bags tossed on top. Take box, slam on floor, throw in truck, hard Still intact? Try again boys.
Im sure the packagers are lower level employees. Who cares? I dont get paid to!
A certain airgun vendor got tired of damage and provides foam packing for pellet tins.
