Midway Sure Post strikes again

I've been having all my ups stuff delivered to my local ups customer center. Easy to pick up across the street from my job. I ordered some stuff from midway and put my delivery address as the ups customer center. Half way here it got transferred from ups to the postal service and went out for delivery back to ups. Been out for delivery for three business days. Dumb.
 
Personally, I hate the cheap plastic mailers they use and the lack of attention to detail when they pack their stuff. I've had things show up damaged because of the crappy packaging job. I used to buy from them a good bit. Hardly ever now.
 
Oh Midway’s alright, there just hell on heavy little boxes of bullets floating around in those big boxes with just a few air pillows in it. Brownell’s is my favorite, but with all the free shipping they’ve been having their prices have increased to make up for it lately.
 
You have shipping options. If you don't want the inexpensive SurePost just choose another option. I've never had a problem with Midway, if I did I would address it with them, not on a forum.
yep and doing that here has the same result as doing it with Midway...nothing changes
 
I shudder to think how much I have spent at Midway over the years, all quality transactions. Admittedly, I live in Columbia and can go pick up my stuff 30 minutes after ordering. However, before they offered local pickup I still bought stuff from them and was very pleased.

During the recent NRA flap local media contacted Larry Potterfield and he doubled down on his support of the NRA with no reservations. They have supported numerous little matches around here and they give a bunch of money to junior shooting programs.

No, I do not work there or have any connection other than being a customer.

I do not have an issue with any of the companies that use smart post. I just hate it when they use it and do not tell you. It is nice watching the product cross the country all the way to your home town then see the message dropped at local USPS facility. OK it is 0200 or 0300 and then not get it that day but the next. So the USPS had all morning to get it on a truck but nope they sit on it for a full day then do something with it.

To the OP that stinks. I would call your local post office right away.
 
I still do a fair bit of business with Midway, but like Scott, I'm close enough that I can pick it up at their facility, no shipping involved. Never an issue, and the folks there are generally a pretty pleasant crew to deal with.
 
On the map of Missouri Graf's and Midway are not that far apart. I used to get things from Midway frequently. I compared costs on an item I wanted. Graf's regular price + shipping was less expensive than Midway's on sale price not including S&H which would be even more expensive. I live on the west coast so shipping was likely the same. I called Midway to complain about that. They had no plausible answer. I accused them of using S&H as a secondary profit center. They denied that of course.
 
I've used Midway for years and haven't had any real problems. Sometimes things arrive in plastic mailers that maybe should have been sent in a box but I've had no damage. For me the sure post is slow but I always get my stuff and the shipping price is pretty good so I don't mind the wait.
