Midway Back Orders

I had a long pkg, had a new cleaning rod, powder and some bullets.
Well the pkg. wasn't packed that great and the bullet came out during shipping.
I just got ahold of Midway and told them what had happened and they send the
bullets back out with no problems. It took awhile to get ahold of them thru
the messaging service, but no hassle. Sent them out that day or next.
We see complaints everyday on here from someone that had a problem
with X shipping company or Y or this online retailer or that.
Everyones shipping is taking a hit now. Doesn't matter who.
You don't hear about the other 99.9% of the pkg's that make it.
 
I know that most anyone can have different experiences with the same business, but I’ve had nothing but great luck and service with MidwayUSA. Like a poster above, I had one package that was missing because of a UPS/USPS handoff. MidwayUSA got right on it and sent a replacement out that day. Couldn’t be happier. I hope that your issue gets squared away real soon...
 
I have had a Forster f l die on order from them since July 30. They give a "canned" response when you send an inquiry regarding your order. Chat is almost never available. Guess I will try a phone call but want to make sure I set aside a long period of time. I believe the back order says that this can not be cancelled.

Anyone else have this issue?
From my experience Midway has really upped their game in the last few years. The website works, they have sharpened their pencil on shipping. I didn’t order anything from them for a long time, but now I do. I’ve ordered from them lately and got stuff pretty fast and did it during the free shipping. Also had something lost out of a box and they sent me another after I called them. This covid thing has been a challenge for everybody and I think midway is navigating it pretty well. I wouldn’t ever order something back ordered from anybody these days- to much to go wrong like you’ve found out. Sounds like it’s working out for you.

Now Brownells - that’s another story, a sad one
 
I want to give the latest update and lay this to rest. Received the update from Midway saying they could not get the die from Forster until a new date in October. I called Forster and they said they were way behind and the die would most likely not be made until October. I was able to very easily cancel the order from Midway. Must say it was beyond what they could do. Other than the fact that Midway could have given an update without me asking for one, they were responsive and cordial regarding this.
 
Now Brownells - that’s another story, a sad one

Midway's shipping prices are a problem particularly if an order gets split up so I often avoid them. But I've never had an actual problem using them.

You want a sad story, try Cabelas. I only use card points there anymore but I made a big order, seemed like every item shipped from a different location. Literally my order came in 6 different shipments. A couple mags appeared in stock when ordered but were backordered. A month later I stopped getting updates, 2 more months go by I call them and the person can't help me and I get dropped in transfer so I email them and they tell me my order was canceled (I was not notified) because the item wasn't coming back in stock.

I'd contacted them because I noted the same mags were up again as in stock on their website...
 
I called Forster directly. Told them I had called 5-6 of my usual places. No one had the die I was looking for, could they help. They gave me two places that inventory showed , they should have one on the shelf. Sure enough they did ,and now I am a new customer at Creedmoor Sports.

My experience with midway here recently.. they had 153.5 berger hybrids on sale last week.. 100 and 500 count boxes of them. 209 dollars i believe for the 500 count box.. i jumped on a box of 500 as i had just got a 500 count from my friend brandon at blue collar.. for a good price.. 229 if i remember right.. which was a good price.. anyway ordered from midway 4 days ago and they was at my door this evening.. i personally have never had a problem with them or their shipping.. not a dent or scratch on the box.. way to go uncle larry.. lol20200929_194252.jpg
