MicroStamping: CA Semi-Auto Pistols Required NOW

xs hedspace said:
Of course, for reliable feeding, you should take a Dremel with a fine Brightboy polishing tip and smooth out the breech face, extractor, and ...oops, hit the firing pin tip by mistake, too. Oh, well.....I would love to challenge the NY registry of rifling marks info, by taking a pistol, dropping a pinch of 150 grit down the barrel, and firing a round. Try comparing rifling after that! Evil mind at work.

Not sure what you are talking about, in New York the COBIS and Microstamping are dead issues, it's the NY SAFE Act that we are fighting.

None of the new guns laws these politicians have passed into law, for several years, does nothing to curtail the criminal. All they have done is put burdens on the lawful and honest citizens of the USA.
Policitians do nothing to stop the criminal, in fact they actually aid them and don't want to punish them, for the crimes they do and then these same politicians wonder why crime is rising and violent attacks increasing.
It;s not about criminals.

For years NYS had a law that required two empties from each newly sold pistol be logged as future evidence, so the gun could be identified, should it ever dump an empty at a crime scene. I always imagined the poor gastard that was assigned to log THAT pile of inefficiency.

"Son, you have wrecked three trollers in as many months, so we have a special assignment for you here in this very large, non-airconditioned closet..."

Of course never was a single case solved by that stupid idea so it was dropped after about five years.

So, if new guns won't be sold in California (where women are women and so are some of the men) you just buy like the bad guys do. :p

So how hard would it be for a criminal to go to a shooting range, pick up micro stamped empties, and scatter them around a crime scene? Sounds like it will make things easier for the gangs to do business, and send the police on false leads.
A bit scary to say the least. Think about it?

Talked to the Hornady boys at last weekends Harris shoot...the ones who could actually get away from work. They said someone, somewhere, is pushing to microstamp each bullet. Imagin trying to stamp, process, and keep track of which bullet goes into which box whan you are producing FOUR MILLION bullets a day!!!!!

Where/when will it all end???
Hopefully in about 15 months IF we get the votes counted fairly this time.... John
