Shoot one into a magazine and see how far it penetrates. I know they are very loud.as it turned out even a CB is to much over kill for a mouse
We've got this yaller cat employed full time for varmint control. He kills and eats about one gopher per day, and also the occasional mouse. Trouble is he likes to play with the mice, and has sometimes brought one in the house and lost it. I've given him a verbal warning, but frankly I don't think it did much good. jd
thats a Big cat.If your cat's only bought one mouse into the house, you're very lucky. Our Maine Coon is a shocker- regularly brings rats, mice and rabbits inside and devours them overnight. I found two half eaten half-size rabbits in the lounge the other day. Wondered why he was sitting in an unusual spot by the deck window and sure enough when we pulled back the curtain, here was a biggest fattest mouse I've ever seen clinging for dear life up the flyscreen.
No amount of polishing will shine that up!!!you have a cat ? you will be pissed if you leave the lid off the vibratory tumbler
Where in PA was this? I’m from Wellsboro. We had a dump less than 2 miles from us where I watched a guy shooting rats once with a Rem Nylon 66. That was the coolest thing I ever saw in my young life!!! I was probably 6 or 7, loved guns but Dad only ever bought 50 22rf at a time and I wasn’t able or allowed to go rat hunting with it. The dumps were closed up before I was old enough. When I was a kid, I was the Jack O'Connor of rat hunting.
Dumps loaded with rats were prevalent in those days and we would take our 22 rifles on rat safaris.
But the best ever was a donut shop in a rural area. On Sunday, due to the PA Blue Laws in those days, the shop was closed and the owner invited us to work over the massive rat population in a hill at the back of the shop. He even supplied stale donuts for bait. That hill was pock marked with rat holes; it looked like Iwo Jama. My old Mossberg hand me down 22 LR took many of "saber tooth" rats.![]()
Ya'll are feedin' em too much. Hungry cat will eat those mice in about 2 minutes.lotta cats seem to like to bring their kills up to the porch- i think they wanna show us how good a hunters they are. but Sounds like time to get %mouse traps out in ur case jd
My biggest beef with cats is I can't 'read' them.I live in a rural county. 80 year old neighbor lady had a stray cat roaming around and called animal control to catch it. Animal control said "we have 300 here now, you are on your own."
I look at cats differently than most people do.
Dogs like people. Cats tolerate people. My biggest beef with cats is I can't 'read' them.
I can just watch a cow for a minute and I know what it's going to do pretty much.
And then there's a cat.
Approaches you, rubs on your leg, you stroke it's head/back a few times....
and it bites you HARD.
If they were bigger, they'd hunt you down in your own house, kill you, and play with your inanimate corpse until it was bored. And go lie in the sun like nothing happened.
Nope. Don't care for cats.
My orange cat assists with everything in the reloading process, she is sometimes too helpful. Have to take a break to give her some pets.Had a buddy ask if I had any H4831SC. Tigger helped me find it.View attachment 1621118
