Mickey Mouse is dead

We've got this yaller cat employed full time for varmint control. He kills and eats about one gopher per day, and also the occasional mouse. Trouble is he likes to play with the mice, and has sometimes brought one in the house and lost it. I've given him a verbal warning, but frankly I don't think it did much good. jd

Yup, it’s also their way of thanking you. Had a cat that often delivered their kills to our door which never bothered me nor the wife. Our neighbor, who often cared for our pets when we were away, was not so thrilled to find dead critters outside her doors and she wasn’t amused when we explained why!

I have two yellow tabby cats. One of them weighs 15 pounds and the other is 16 pounds. We also had some excitement a few nights ago when one of them brought a mouse inside……lol.

Verbal warnings don’t do much without a documented way of tracking them. Next time just issue him a written warning, have him sign it and you both keep a copy for your individual records.

Years back, worked at a small canning outfit, canning oil for a government contract. Building was on the shore line of the SF bay.
Lunch area was upstairs. You put your lunch bag down and before you could pick it back up, mice (BIG ONES) were after your samich!!
Told the boss I'd catch them for $1 each. Deal was struck and agreed on. ;)
Caught a few but the boss never paid up!! :( Pay back time.;)
Got the boss's lunch bag and made him a Mouse sandwich. The guys LOVED IT and I got paid!! :D:D

Went to the local gun shop looking at a Cricket 22 rifle. Salesman asked if I was going BIG GAME HUNTING!! :D

Neighbors cat has taken up house at my place. (Mikie feeds me!!!)
Quite often find his catch laying at the back door. His PROUD catch.
Only problem, usually only playing dead. He drops them at the door and while he's proudly looking around, mouse jumps up and runs off. Kitty looks around, witch way did they go George, witch way did he go. Love that Kitty so no problems. He'll catch another.
I DO cut him some slack cause he only has one eye and is a drooling love bug, and he's not even mine. :)
