Though this is an old thread, I suspect that the issue is ever present. A couple of arsehats can consume an absurd amount of time are create unnecessary levels of stress. Everyone else sees the good work that you do and we thank you for it.

Boss ; I really think it's pathetic that you have to tell anyone that you aren't their private secretary , or any of those other non-mentioned titles . The majority do appreciate the work you do , and the hours you put in making this the best site of it's kind in the world . We had a saying in the Nam ! "Screw em all but six ! We'll use them for Pall-bears"!

One fellow said I had “a lot of gall” to have limits on the number of free classifieds. I responded that Silver level is just $20 per year or thirty-eight cents per week. [It is now $25 in 2022.] He answered “why should I pay a penny for what i can do [i.e. selling] on other forums for free?!” I then said “Fine, since you ascribe no value to this Forum, I will just terminate your account.” He then texted — “You can’t do that, it’s not fair! It’s discrimination!”

I smiled as I selected “BAN member” and clicked on “forever”.

Banning guys like that is actually one of the few truly satisfying things I get to do...

Some people think they are doing you and the site a favor by selling stuff (I’m sure at a profit for them too); those are the people that need a reality check and nothing screams this is REAL, like when you hit the BAN member button. Man, I wish I could have been part of that conversation you had with the member you referenced above. I’d be the first to tell him at the very least he/she should flip a few bucks to be a silver member….which would have alleviated the vast majority of the issues. I don’t run QL myself, hell I don’t even own a computer (LOL), but to ask the Forum Boss to run a QL study for you is really overstepping what this forum is all about. I’m sure if he posted a message in the reloading forum asking anyone with QL for help, someone (other than the Forum Boss) would have responded with the answer in under one hour. Boss, what you do for this site is incredible and managing the site is a job in itself. You can’t fix lazy, rude and presumptuous people; it’s harder than teaching Biden to ride a bike.
