Meplat trimming versus trimming and pointing after sorting bullets

I think it's supposed to be a modern version of the Juenke machine? Not sure...
I'd never heard of it before. And maybe it is multi-functional, but what I gather from the videos I watched, that it measures bearing surface.

Of course there is the Bullet Genie out there which is supposed to put an end to all this sorting.

In one video ('Comparitor Bullets') he talks about testing bullets that were mechanically sorted (BTO, etc.) first. But in a later video (FAQ #2) he talks about sorting first on the Bullet Genie, then taking a large 'bin' from that sorting and doing whatever additional sort / prep (BTO, trim, point) that you want. Doesn't sound like he does anything additional himself, but that seems to be when he recommends it if you want to.

The Bullet Genie appears to be doing the same sort of thing as the Juenke - using some sort of field hysteresis analysis to 'look' at the bullet jacket and core - which is an entirely different thing than BTO, or trimmming or pointing.

Kinda cool... just not sure it's something that I need. Want, sure. Need... well...

The Bullet Genie analyzes jacket and core consistency. It does not put an end to all the sorting, it adds another aspect to sort.
It does not do any measurement qualification for BTO, BTS, OAL, Diameter, Weight, etc., which are all separate aspects.
