Yes, membership is more important than ever.
-- Server costs are up dramatically.
-- Security service costs have tripled.
-- Online Bookkeeping costs have doubled.
-- We are looking at major updates to the content sites -- and that will cost many thousands for programmers and designers.
There have been many other increases in costs. Bottom line, we are serving a much larger membership base and that drives up costs.

I know that there are some of us in bad shape financially, but having $5.00 a month deducted from a checking account and paying through PayPal is affordable to almost everyone. That's only $60.00 a year.
What I don't understand is why so many members of this forum will spend thousands of dollars a year on buying guns and reloading equipment plus trips to the range and then use this site as a learning experience as well as buying and selling equipment but won't support it.

Can you renew early, or does it auto-renew? Not that this will be my first renewal, but, it’s been a whole year. I can’t be expected to remember that long!
I don't know what I don't know, but there should be a minimum price to enter. 5 or 10 bucks. if the software would allow it, come try the site for a week or month and then privileges will be removed. if you want to stay, minimum of ten bucks a year for reading. if you want to post in the classified's, 25 bucks. something like that. if you buy and sell on here you will make or save that on your first purchase or sale. we may lose a few, or even quite a few, but the good would far outweigh the bad I think.I know that there are some of us in bad shape financially, but having $5.00 a month deducted from a checking account and paying through PayPal is affordable to almost everyone. I no longer buy magazines for any sport that I participate in, primarily cycling and shooting. Instead, I find a forum like this and support it. Cheaper than a magazine, no clutter in the house and helpful and unbiased information about products, etc. When’s the last time you read a negative product review in a Gun Mag?........I never have.
