Thanks for your answers folks, you shed a little light on some of my many dark areas. I will know more after this week because I had 50 disk mower blades salt nitride treated to see how they hold up cutting hay, going to put every other one on the mower opposite a new untreated one. Don't know what to expect but I will report just in the event any body else gets tired of replacing 50 blades several times a year, in case anyone else cuts hay.

Thank God! I haven't had the privilege of bailing hay for many years.

73 next month, still baling 350 acres twice a year and trying to shoot a little on the side. Long as my boss upstairs allows me the privilege I'll keep on.....

That's great! We do know your Boss upstairs knows how hard working and as honest a farmer as you. Bet you tell the truth of your 5 shot group sizes.
