media stuck in case

I had a similar issue with walnut media. The best answer I received was to run the media for at least a half hour with no brass in it. That didn't help with the brass I had already messed up, so one more suggestion was to put the brass back in the tumbler with no media and let the brass crashing against each other knock most of the media out of the inside. That was not a total answer to the problem but it helped, so I used a dental pick to get most of the media out and then used compressed air. Then I washed the offending cases in clear water and dried them over night then used more compressed air inside.

I use corn cob thats pretty fine, but not sure what specific size it is. Got ~ 25 lb bag years ago.
So use a fine enough media, and keep the tumbler running until you take it out. Too much cleaner additive can make the media sticky too and want to stick in the cases.

Ultrasonic cleaner.

Most people make the mistake of not rinsing their brass after running them through the UC which results in dull brass with a dirty look. I have used an UC for the last 15 years and I get just as good results as any other system, even the primer pockets are clean.

I have had good luck with Cabelas brand corn cob media, its finer and just pours out like coarse sand.
I really like the additive they sell to put into your media... It will really shine things up... I started buying Walnut media from harbor freight $25 for 25 pounds because I do run range pickup in 9mm and LC .223 so I do toss it out when it gets dirty , for that price who cares... I have been running one of the Cabela's branded tumbler for years now...
