I had a similar issue with walnut media. The best answer I received was to run the media for at least a half hour with no brass in it. That didn't help with the brass I had already messed up, so one more suggestion was to put the brass back in the tumbler with no media and let the brass crashing against each other knock most of the media out of the inside. That was not a total answer to the problem but it helped, so I used a dental pick to get most of the media out and then used compressed air. Then I washed the offending cases in clear water and dried them over night then used more compressed air inside.
