The confusing part for me was they said it was an imported rifle chambered in .30-06. When have we ever imported old military firearms from a foreign country that were chambered in .30-06? Never. That's when. They're full of shit.

30-06 Mauser

I found a Mauser chambered in 30-06 with a .30 stamp on the rear ring of the receiver, it is in the original military configuration with all matching serial numbers. I was wondering what this gun is, it is marked as a FN manufacture but the caliber in a european military riffle is confusing me.

Some of our current rifles are not made in the US, (Browning, Howa, Bergara)
Then of course there is the Mauser 98

And the P17 - made in the US, sold to the Netherlands amongst others....and I'm sure some found their way back
