Measuring primers

Trigger time is not the fix all for BR. If you want to win consistently, you need to do alot more then just load. The competition is tight and most the others are doing it all. Matt
I did not intend to undermine what you Guy's are doing. If measuring primers makes you more competitive that's great. On the other side of that coin I know several 600 yard F- open shooters including the writer that have shot perfect points matches and sub one inch groups without weighing primers.
Every shooter is different, I spend alot of time on load technique, but I do tend to focus more on conditions than equipment.
Again, keep up the good work.

Sub one inch is great at 600. I would have to see the targets. Not many sub one inch groups shot in 600 yard BR and they are only 5 shot groups where the targets are actually measured. Matt

Agree 100%.

Watching Kent Reeve coach or shoot supports this conclusion; I have to wonder how widespread the distribution of a particular gene he carries might be?

Something
gives him an ability to see wind like no other mortal I know.
Its called "PRACTICE" in all types of conditions . Coupled with studying wind conditions and estimation of wind speed and angles (values) while doing other things like working in the yard , while taking walks , ETC. Its a never ending process to able to closely call the wind. Being a really hard holder helps a lot also. Again, practice is heavily involved. Dryfire and actual. And being a nice guy may help too! :)

Sorry I dont have any of my IBS targets to show you, but here's one from a club F-open 600 yard match you may like, to bad I cant expand it in the format that it is in but there was a sub inch group in it. That is the best I can do for proof. I have seen a fair amount of sub inch 5 shot groups produced at IBS 600 yard matches in the last couple of years. I shoot CCI BR-4 primers right out of the box.
