MDT XRS Chassis

Just purchased a XRS chassis for a Savage 110 tactical short action. Installed barreled action in chassis, when i put Magpul AICS mag in, it will not seat and drags going in front to rear of mag. Like its to long. Any suggestions on install, i cannot get ahold of MDT My phone will not call Canada.

Take the action out, see if the mag functions...

Works perfect in the savage chassis

Try an MDT Polymag? If that doesn't fit, then the issue is elsewhere.

Put Savage in an Oryx and had to file the Magpul to fit the action. Not quite the same as a 700 in that area.

I had to force the magazine into the chassis then when i tried cycling the bolt it was dragging heavily across the mag, tried 2 differant pmags.

The Magpul ACIS is not the same as a Metal ACIS the lips are different.
I would email MDT support, they are swamped due to their Black Friday sale.
They are top notch when it comes to product support.

Got a response back to a email sent to MDT, They stated that Pmags are designed to work with R700 actions and to use a true AICS magazine and i should have no problems.
