MCgowan Precision? Not McGowan Outlet

Anyone have any experience with Mcgowan precision barrels? Not Mcgowan outlet which produces savage prefit barrels, but mcgowan precision barrels, that does everything from blanks to prechambered, prefit barrels. Anyone have any accuracy reports? Im considering using them for my next project, but I need to hear some reports of how they shoot, and how their service is. Thanks a lot!

They are the same barrel blanks. The outlet is just a middle man like any other gunsmith that does barrels, except they also offer prefits with a very attractive delivery time that almost nobody else can offer. I have not dealt with them personally but have heard good reports about them.

You can also just call Mcgowen and order what you want as well. Ive dealt with them numerous times and have had atleast 10-12 of their barrels. Have not had a bad one yet and the accuracy has been very,very good. My 6br mcgowen prefit shot better than my $500 Brux, which nice on one hand but ticked me off a little too....lol.

I wouldn't hesitate to order another, and actually will be doing so really soon.

Check out X- caliber barrels they bare located in Kalispell, Mt. also. They are a new barrel company but they have got top notch equipement there prices are really good for a lapped stainless barrel. Worth a look.

I have a McGowan pre. bbl. that I put on my 222 rem. I only have 5 five shot groups thru it so far. One was just at 1" the other 4 were .4's to low .3's. But that's all I have got to shoot it so far.

I have several Mcgowen barrels and they all shoot real good, especially my 7.62x39mm which is a hammer.
