Maybe you guys can help me with my rifle.

At 1200 plus rounds you might need to find someone to bore scope your barrel and check the crown

Crown should be good, it has a brake covering it. Might need it bore scoped though. I checked today, the rifle has 1500 rounds down it.

I've only had one rifle with a brake on it. I had a bad experience with not taking it off when cleaning.
I had no experience with a brake. I don't know if everyone else takes them off at each cleaning.
But I had not.
A terrible amount of fouling had caked on the crown. Now I take it off every time.

Just a thought

Guys....

These guys play a different game than most of us here. They don't religiously clean their guns as we do. They don't shoot off bags and shoot unknown distances. That is .75 MOA which isn't a bad gun in their game.

I'm glad it looks like you are getting it figured out DG...

Ps - what is the software you used to do your group measuring?

check your action screws and whats in tune for amx bullets may be way off fot hybrids

Action screws torqued to 65in lbs w/ a Borka PTL. Hybrids were shooting great before, I'm guessing it's this new lot that's different.

Yeah, I don't clean it unless something is wrong. I clean the action and chamber though. I did clean it pretty good last week to check and make sure that was not the issue.

.5 MOA or better is where I like to hang. I can normally get .3moa 3 shot groups .4 moa 5 shot groups, and .60-.75 10 shot groups. Of course I have more rounds on the barrel now, but I think it should be able to hang in the .5 MOA area still.

This is the stick in question.

don't know if its the solution but i noticed the wooden bench in the photo...i have known the wooden benches to have an ever so slight movement in them...I've solely gone to shooting off of cement benches only..its hard to notice but when a little amount of weight is applied to the wooden bench top..they will move...I've tested and tested and retested this...it may just be the amount of movement in your groups your seeing...

also along with the others i agree that your barrel is getting to the edge of its life for that given round.

I agree, wooden benches can move. Most of these groups are prone on the earth though.

I'm about to send it in for a new barrel to be made. I was going to do that for "later" Looks like it's going to be sooner than later lol. I just got it in march, I guess I've really been getting some range time.

I had the same problem. I ended up using the Amax but one thing I did different was I played with the bushing size. I ended up using .291 bushing with Lapua brass.

I can also shoot small .5MOA or better groups with VLDs but I still prefer Amax. I have over 2K rounds in mine and it still shoots tiny groups.

Well if you can't tell already, I don't give up easily. I always want to make sure I've tired everything. Last night I loaded up a few more rounds and hit the range this morning.

Things I changed were.

Took brake off, cleaned it, and made sure it was not on to tight, I think it was before.

Noticed I had my Forster plates mixed. One side was S the other was L. I think this might have caused runout.

Back to the range this morning and

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY.

All shot prone, with bipod and rear bag.
