Sloughhouse Benchrest Shooters held their May IR50/50 Double 3-Card match this last Saturday
at the Sac Valley Shooting center in the dreaded Ione Triangle.
The 8 shooters who showed up were greeted by mild temperatures and our normal twitchy breezes.
Target #1 had Michael Phillips steering his new (to him) rifle to a nice 249-7x just beating out me & Pierre
both of us shooting 248-13x with me taking 2nd on the tiebreaker.
Target #2 was won by Marcus Byrne with a dominant 250-16x, with Pierre 2nd at 249-14x, with me 3rd at 249-10x.
Target #3 had 3 249's won by Mike, with 15x, Marcus 2nd with 14x, Francis Lee 3rd @ 13x.
Aggregate #1 was won by Marcus Byrne with a 747-40x, Pierre Bigras 2nd @ 745-40x, I finished 3rd with 745-34x.
The winds started picking up a little as we moved into Agg 2 requiring a good bit of attention not to get caught by
the dreaded 35-40 yard reverse twitch.
Target #1 was taken by Francis Lee with a great 250-17x which was high score for the match. I finished 2nd at 248-11x beating out Ron Chisick who finished 3rd on the tiebreaker.
Target #2 was won by Marcus with a 249-13x edging out Francis who had a 249-12x, Mike Phillips in 3rd at 247-5x.
Target #3 was won by Francis at 248-16x, Pierre 2nd with a 247-10x, Marcus 3rd with a 246-14x.
Aggregate #2 was won by Francis Lee with a 747-45x, Marcus Byrne 2nd @ 741-40x, Pierre Bigras 3rd @738-28x.
The combined 6 Card Aggregate aka "The Money Match" pays top 4 places:
1st: Marcus Byrne 1488-80x
2nd: Francis Lee 1486-79x
3rd: Pierre Bigras 1483-67x
4th: Greg Wilson. 1483-62x
