I have used two kinds. Johnsons paste wax and McLube 1700L aerosol. What type of release agent are you using?
I have used Devcon liquid aluminum and liquid steel. You can get a nice finish with either of them. If the metal in the liquid was non magnetic stainless steel, it would probably be my favorite stuff.I haven't used this, but I understand that the liquid Devcon cures with a gloss finish. I have heard that you can paint on a coat of liquid Devcon and then bed as normal with the 10110. When everything dries you should have a glossy finish. Personally I've never seen the need for it but my tastes aren't always in line with other people's. The Brownells bedding compound dries with a fairly glossy finish.
Yes, it gives the owner confidence. One of my customers explained to me that when it looks perfect he doesn't have doubts when he goes to the line. While looking perfect and being perfect are two different things, its possible to do both. Its part of the mental game.Does the surface finish of epoxy really matter?

Tough to get a perfect finish when the receiver has the finish of a vinyl L.P. record. But that shouldn't cause you too much gas. You should give some thought to the stamping on the bottom of the front receiver ring. -Almy first bed job...sav 12....don't feel so bad. KIWI...shoe polish. LOL

So that begs for the question of what is the best release agent I’ve seen shoe polish car wax Pam cooking spray Hornady one shot and I believe Brownells sells a spray on release agent
I am working on this to get a better finish on my bedding!
The bedding compound just mirrors what it's in contact with.Is there a difference in application that produces a smoother finish or is it the product being used?
The best one you can get the smoothest after application. So that begs for the question of what is the best release agent..
