MASTER GUN VISE

Anyone tried this? How do you like it so far?

Looks interesting for it's adjustability.
But at $299, i'll take a solid pass!
And as SSL said, not sure i would want to trust it for barrel work.

The price is high, I agree for a vise but it seems a vise on steroids? We'll see, I'm going to take the plunge. I was able to get an order in. I do like the idea of being able to pivot to almost any angle. I'm waiting to hear back and see if I can't get a plate for my InlineFabrication Quick Change setup. According to the advertisement video, the gentleman did say, tightening barrels, up to 80fps is something they took into consideration.
I'll share my findings once I get everything setup.

I'll stick to my vintage Wilton bullet vise that's been around the shop for over 50+ years. Just add some soft jaws. Now that's extreme heavy duty.

Similar concept, but more expensive and may be the erector set of vices. Dear Santa.

I'm a big fan of pattern maker's vise. $150 or less on sale and super robust.
Exactly the vise I have on my gun bench! Versatile and stout. Great for most projects. For heavy-duty work, I have my grandfather's 45-pound, 8" jaws Rock Island vise that dates back to the mid 1920s. Mounted at waist level with 1/2" lag screws to a 14" diameter section of telephone pole sunk 3 feet into the ground in my barn/garage. Nothing moves in that one! Still operates smooth as velvet.

For anyone who may want a more affordable option i have found this one to be really solid. Im not removig barrels so not sure how well it would work for that but for mounting scopes, cleaning etc this has been really solid. I mount it to t-track so it is easy to store out of the way. I also use it to bore sight my rifles by clamping it to a rolling cart and using a laser boresighter.
