March scopes - service?

Anyone have experience getting a March scope serviced? I’m considering getting a March scope, but have questions about their service. Leupold is the gold standard regarding customer service, and I’m wondering how/if March’s service stacks up.

There current process is to have the customer return the scope directly back to Japan. Just wondering how this worked out and how timely the repair was. Thanks CW

If I understand it correctly March has 10 year warranty on their scopes. So what happens in situations where the 2nd or 3rd owner of said brand needs warranty or just checkup on a benchrest scope?

I've dealt with March 2 times. I've owned 20 March scopes in my lifetime. I've always dealt with Tatsua Gomi and Mari Morita from Deon and both he and she are great to deal with. They go the extra mile to make sure your satisfied.

Both that I have set USPS insured for ~$2,000 were about $120 to ship and I had one back in 5 weeks and the other in 6 weeks no charge for shipping. Both had a note that said the reticle had come loose and we reglued it and sorry for the inconvenience. Both were on ~10 pound .338's with aggressive muzzle brakes and the reticle started turning sideways.

This is great to read. I am about to purchase my first March, a used 8-80X, and glad to know they are as good as Leupold used to be. I've owned lots of them.

As a point of interest, this warranty is fully and automatically transferred to the current owner, regardless of prior ownership. The warranty goes by the serial number; 10 years for the riflescope and 2 years for the electronics (illumination.) Even outside of warranty, just reach out to them; they will work with you.

IMHO, there customer service are second to none..
