I know a lot of people have qualms about purchasing a March scope based on their warranty (imo, a non-issue) and the fact that you have to ship your scope to Japan for service.
Here's my experience, based on a reticle swap I just had them do for me on my 2.5-25x42 Tactical:
1. Send a note to Deon, describing what you would like done
2. Receive a reply (within a day) that includes an a sample shipping document, that you fill out and tape to the outside of your box.
3. Ship (via USPS Express Mail) to Japan
4. Receive a notice (4 days later) that your scope has arrived, along with a request to confirm the work you want done
5. Receive a notice (5 days later) that your work is done and that the scope is shipping back to you via EMS.
6. Receive an invoice from Kelbly's; call Kelbly's, pay invoice
The actual service, turnaround, communication, etc... is basically identical to the process I went through with Leupold when I sent in a spotting scope for service. Could not have been easier and Ian Kelbly was very helpful in providing a document that describes (in more detail) the process above. Deon was very communicative and the turnaround was great.
If you are considering a March scope and sending it to Japan for repair/service is a concern for you- don't worry about it. It's every bit as fast and easy as using US based warranty services.
Thumbs up for Deon/Kelbly's. I've got two March scopes and would not hesitate to pull the trigger on more.
