March 10-60 x 52 vs Nightforce 15 x 55 competition

IOR scopes are equipped with Schott lenses, same as Schmidt&Bender. I think Schott and Zeiss/Hensoldt glasses are above all others
However I own a NF Comp and I very very happy
I like the Nightforces also, I have a 13 model competition, also have 5 Marches, and 2 Valdada's. The early Marches varied in clarity, because Deon was using 2 different coatings. That issue was straightened out about 2 or 3 years ago.
I only ever saw one Night force fail, it was on a 50IMP with a clamshell brake. I saw a March fail on a WSM. It cost the guy over a hundred to send it back. Matt
Hey lets face it, it's mechanical and it will fail at some point. We might be dead and buried and whoever has it next, well it might or might not fail on him. Jim Cline from SC bought a new 2015 comp and it failed at the first IBS match that he took it to. Ya he sent it back and they replaced it, but it slipped by the QC process at some point. I just feel that in the long run a March will hold their POI better than any other scope used for competition. Just my opinion and u know what they say about opinions.

@Shiraz why do you prefer the 10-60x vs the larger 34mm tube scopes?

I guess it is "First Love" (bought the first one in 2007) and used it successfully at the 2009 World Championship in England, which was also won by Gary Costello with a March 10-60! It is a very, very clear scope and Deon got all the internal combinations right. Like I said previously, I have several of them and really like this scope, although mine are set at around 52x most of the time except during set-up, when I turn down to 10x so I can line up with the target etc.

Personally, I do not feel the need for an 80x scope, and the only other second focal plane 34mm is the 5 - 50X which is a "sleeper". By that, I mean that it is a great scope that people seem to overlook. I have one of those that I had purchased when they first came out and it sits on the new 50 Cal match gun that I just completed.

Sorry for the late reply - been catching up and just saw this.

Thank you for the comments. The SHOT Show was great! First time exclusively as March and we had a lot of guys saying "wow" and then passing the stock with the scope on it to their friend and saying "take a look at this". Sold a lot of scopes at the show.

To answer your question, yes we do have a 20% off for Military and LEOs, active or retired. Please call (360) 676-3299.
Wow, wish I knew about that Retired Vet discount before I purchased my 10-60 a few months ago! Just so happens I need another

pburr - If you bought the scope from www.bullets.com and you are buying another one, let Lynsei know and we can credit you the difference between what you paid then and what you should have paid. Heck, it may even pay for a set of the new March Made in USA scope rings :)

What's the number to call? I called the number on the website and they said there is no military discounts going on now. Only during certain times of the year. I'd like a March and a barrel as well!

You must have called Grizzly's number.

For the March scope Military discount, you need to call bullets.com. You cannot order a barrel and get that discount. The 20% off retail price for LEO and Military is only for March scopes, March Scope Rings and March branded products.

Which scope is better for F class at 300,600 1000 yards? What are the relative merits of each? Which has better glass? Why doesn't March have a life time guarantee if it is top tier scope. Is March going to go out of business like Premiere?

Thanks,
I did just the opposite of JamesTN, I owned the NF and sold it replacing it with a March, but not the 60.
If I were you I'd seriously consider the new Vortex 15x60x52. I had the opportunity to look through it and it's absolutely a steal for the money! Glass is superb and the Vortex warranty is one of the best in the industry, it's a no questions asked for the life of the scope and I pretty sure that's transferable. An the glass is made in USA

Vortex makes the glass for the scope in Madison WI I was told.
