Many thanks to all of you.

You will not see me posting much, but I have been reading this site for many years. I was suffering from fliers and put up with it for quite a while. Then I started paying attention and standardized my brass, learned how to prevent runout.

Anyway, the story ends very positive. I have few if any fliers and have found shooting a little boring now. Not enough to give up and quit shooting, but problem solving is at a minimum.

Thanks again for such worthwhile postings.

When in doubt when bored, extend your range! Add moving targets! Start competing in the discipline of your choice. Lot's of ways to keep one's interest. Glad you have your loads under control.

When I get bored is when I start trying out different things. Stocks, powders, bullets, position, etc... you can gather up a lot of good data when you are bored with shooting your regular setup(s).

The main reason I am bored, is that all 5 of my varmint rifles shoot so good and my chuck shooting time is over for the hear. The real fun, is developing loads that shoot like I envision them to shoot and knowing that neck turning, weighing cases and controlling runout has been successful. Never would have happened without the internet and guys like you.

Endyo good idea for young guys. I am in the middle of my 7th decade and quit walking those steep hills hunting blacktail deer years ago.

I understand exactly how you feel! I'm also in my 70's. I'm obviously retired and could go shooting 7 days a week IF I felt like it. Been shooting since I was 12 years old. Didn't pick up a rifle for 4 years after I returned from Vietnam but, otherwise I've done a lot of shooting. Here, a couple of years ago I oiled up all my guns a quit shooting for a while. Now, I've picked it up again and it's fun but, I too have to admit the shooting fire is almost gone! Good Luck to you. Regrets!? Nope! Just wish we would have been privileged to have the shooting equipment available now.
