Manners Stocks

Anyone have experience with Manners stocks? I'm in the process of getting components together for a hunting rifle. It will be a Defiance action and Kreiger barrel.

They make great stocks. Be prepared to wait a while for a new one.

Don't just the updates on your stock. Buddy of mine placed an order 1-05-2019, told first of May. Called end of May, almost ready only 3 steps left on the stock. End of June, Manner's ( we don't know, maybe July ). Called in August, someone at Manner's said "Wow, that's an old order number", week later they email, we think you'll have it middle of September.. So, he's still waiting....

I would buy a flat top and have it inletted specifically for your setup. My last and only stock from them was inletted very poorly in my opinion, and I have spoken to multiple smiths that have had the same issues. Mine were improper action depth, barrel channel was canted left to right, they did a swept handle inlet even knowing my action had a straight handle, and the bottom metal inlet was yawed.

My smith and myself fixed these issues almost completely, but I was not impressed. For their sake they did offer to bring it back in, but I was kind of done with it at that point and just had it done by my smith/did the barrel channel myself. Good customer service, but like scopes I don’t want to use it. Especially after an 8 month wait.

The quality of the stock itself was very nice, which is why I would be more than comfortable buying a flat top.

Manners are awesome. I like them so much, I wont mess with other stocks now. I had a mcmillan and got rid of it because I like manners so much. I have 3 right now.

I have a 2A. Bit soft in the trigger area. Material just falls out like chalk.

Oh man that sounds terrible. Did manners fix it? I would be upset spending that amount for that to happen

I have a T5A and really like it. It's a long wait on the stock but well worth it. Tom is a stand up guy and if you have any problems I'm sure he will take care of it.

It's all good. On a Stiller 22, so it's not an issue. I had my smith remove the soft spots and glass it back it to hold the trigger guard. Not unhappy with Manners stocks, they make a great product. Thing happen, most times its an easy fix.

I have multiple manners and defiance rigs. If I build another Id order it a year ahead of time just to not have to cry about the wait time. Never had an issue with them. Im a big fan.

Manners and Cerus. Thats all I own..

I have a t5 a elite clear. Love the feel. Inlet to center, had enough room to bed without any material removal. So, I do have a nice line of bed around the tang( Rem 700). Most are painted after fitting. Bdl front was not too nice but most are blended and painted.

I will buy more for my builds. Nice stocks!

I have 5 EH-1s plus another at my smith, also have two on order. I have no cons about the stocks I've received, other than the long wait. I've been lucky enough to pick up two of my stocks from their in-stock store online.
Those stocks usually go fast, so you really have to monitor their website, if you're in a hurry.

I also really like their stocks, I have used many McMillan and others but Manners is as good as any i have used, the Elite line is pricey but very nice.

Manners makes some very nice stocks. Unfortunately, their in letting leaves a lot to be desired.

Mine is very nice and works well. The people at Manners were very nice, but I had to be very patient as a five month job turned into almost a year to get my stock.

Nice enough people but a bit slow on the uptake...I have one of the Tikka stocks with mini-chassis. Took 11 months to get it but they stuffed up the specs - didn't include flush cups as specified and had to go with an Arca Swiss rail instead of an MPA Trinity rail which they didn't realise wouldn't work with it. In the end the stock works well, but for $2300 (Australian dollars), I expected better customer service and attention to detail for a premium product. Wouldn't go through the hassle again.

Waited 9 months for a prs stock in a newly released color. My gunsmith had to mill out for the bolt release on my defience action.
In the end it was worth it. Great stock.
