Manners is one of the best stock makers in the business. Also, Tom will do anything to make sure the customer is taken care of on anything and anytime, no matter where you got the stock or how long you've had it.

I agree. The smith that built my Manners-stocked rifle had 10 or so in inventory, therefore, no wait.

McMillan is 6-10 month lead time. Also unacceptable in my opinion.

There’s enough demand for the product from both of these companies that they should find a way to reduce the lead times. The reason they don’t is likely because customers will tolerate the wait, but that doesn’t mean they like it.

A stock design which fits you and your shooting style is much more important than who makes it. I've owned Manners and a custom stock on my Ftr rifle, and while they shot well they shot no better than my lower cost laminate which I bedded, added pillars, and a tapered butt rider with the exact angle that I like. I don't mind experimenting on it either! Think long and hard about your needs prior to selecting a stock.

Don't just trust the updates on your stock. Buddy of mine placed an order 1-05-2019, told first of May. Called end of May, almost ready only 3 steps left on the stock. End of June, Manner's ( we don't know, maybe July ). Called in August, someone at Manner's said "Wow, that's an old order number", week later they email, we think you'll have it middle of September.. So, he's still waiting....

Well, here it is almost middle of October and my buddy still doesn't have his stock yet. Another missed " you'll have it in a couple of weeks, first of September " ...

Order placed on June 12th.
Order confirmed on June 21st
Order shipment email on August 21st
Order delivered on August 27th

Plus, the inletting was perfect and my smith isn't going to have to do any work to "make it work".

For a >$600 stock my smith shouldn't have to do any work to it.

I have owned 2 Manners T4A Elite's they are really nice stocks

If you don't want to wait for one check out Altus Shooting Solutions they carry a big inventory of Manners stocks and are fantastic to deal with.

As an alternative check out Foundation stocks, they are incredible and you can usually find one in stock from OTM Tactical Supply or Swannys Comp Gear
