Manners Rifle Stocks

I went to the Australian SHOT show in Melbourne, Vic, yesterday and handled a Manners T5A stock. Me Like.

Would be interested in any one's experience and advice with Manners stocks and the Chassis bedding system.

Thanks in advance.

They are very comparable to the Mcmillian stocks. I just bought a A-3 Mcmillian and the only reason I did not get the Manners was because it did not spec for the bottom metal I am using. They are very nice, you will not be disappointed.
I know this does not address your main questions but I wanted to add my 2 cents worth.. ;D

A friend leaned his rifle against the front of his pickup, and became distracted by his young sons and a phone request to meet other hunters, and drove over the rifle, lengthwise, while on a dirt surface. Embarrassed, he quickly wiped off the dust print that the tire left. There was no damage...none. This was their lightest hunting stock. There are lighter shocks, but I doubt there are tougher.

Have built 3 guns with Manners stocks. Awesome inletting, finish, quality, customer service and good delivery times vs comparible stocks.

Everything I've heard about Manners stocks has been positive. The choice of Manners versus something else may come down to your action. I was able to get a McMillan A-5 inleted for an action that wasn't possible with the comparable Manners.

BTW I did not mean to imply anything negative about McMillan stocks. I just couldn't pass up the chance to tell the story about may friend's Manners.

A good while back there was a video of a Manners stock being laid across a curb with a vehicle running over the stock was unharmed. Try to Google it.

You may want to search (before posting) over on Snipershide, the Manners stocks are very popular with that crowd over there.

I've got a manners, mcmillan, b&c, stockade, Boyd's, h&s, and factory stocks. The only purpose of a stock is to keep the action from moving and the barrel free floated, that's it, anything else is tacticool. A properly bedded and floated factory stock does everything any others do. I want buy another high end stock, just my .02.

They do a little more than that, at least for some applications, like the various kinds of competition, where a factory stock would be a distinct disadvantage. There are places for both.
