Making the Forster mini lathe better

So I am in the process of getting a lathe so I can make some improvements to the Forster case trimmer mini lathe and I was more or less wondering who uses one regularly and who may be interested in purchasing an " upgrade kit" from me once I get it done and working how I want it. Pretty much a role call for Forster case trimmer owners. I will be making all kinds of precision accessories for it. Thanks

I use the Forster power case trimmer but I have the original just don't use it much. I will take a look at what you come up with.

Glad there is interest. I am working on getting a lathe this weekend or next. Need to get some materials ordered and as soon as I get mine going I will post a video, I think that's the easiest way to show and explain what upgrades I'll be making, why I've decided to make these changes, how it will all work, and future parts and accessories I plan on making. I'm not exactly sure how quality control is so I'll have to get a census on what is actually what size because I know every ones machine isn't made at the exact same size mine is. I may even do something along the lines of you sending me your machine and I rebuild it with the better upgrades. The one thing I've noticed on mine, as I bought mine used, is that years and years of revolutions and steel to steel contact have created wear in certain areas. I plan on fixing all that. I don't want to reveal to much just yet about my plans but for those of you who use this new or have had for many many years, if you are interested be prepared for what I have in store. Thank you all for reading and commenting.

Also I would enjoy reading any review or feedback you have about this machine and things all of you may want to see improve. Or even maybe some accessories that do not exist that you may like to see be made. One of the accessories I do plan on making are perfect size pilots or call them precision pilots that will be nice and polished. The one big complaint I have about mine is that it seems the surface finishes are not that great. The collets that came with mine just feel very rough. Anywho I could go on and on about my ideas and thoughts since I have aquired this machine. Overall I love it. It's simple yet very well made. I will update as things begin to take shape. Stay tuned.

Dusty. As I do agree with your stayement, the biggest reason for my posting is to see how many people own it. I know I am not the only one.
I have owned and used one since the 80's. They are like trying to fly a chopper. I bought a sinclair neck turner and it is light years ahead of the Forester lath. I am glad I did not try to turn to BR specs. I am pretty handy, but this is crude.
