Magtech 9 1/2 large rifle primers

I'm getting down to to my last few thousand large rifle primers. So I ordered 5,000 Magtech 9 1/2 large rifle from Bruno's. Has anybody had experience with these? I've had no luck searching for info about them. I don't know if they are considered a standard or magnum primer, or if they are suitable for AR 10 and M1a rifles.

I'm sure I can find some uses for these, if only for plinkers. Bruno's had them for (gulp!) $750 /case. I don't fault Bruno's high price like some folks do. At least I can shoot for another year.

I bought some 7 1/2 SRP, many years ago. The info I have heard on them is that they are manufactured on tooling supplied/designed by Remington and uses a compound that is the Remington recipe. Manufactured in Brazil. With that info, I would assume that they are standard large rifle primers.
How valid this info is, is anyones guess. If @Laurie should see this, I think he could give a correct answer
I only have a few of the 7 1/2 primers left and I am currently using them to fireform some cases. All the ones that I have shot, have shot well.

My findings of some years ago in 308 Win:

As you can see, they were perfectly creditable performers. I've used Magtech primers for ~30 years off and on. I prefer CCI-BR2s, Fed 210Ms and PMC/Murom LRs (KVB-7) for LR primer match use, but the company's standard 7 1/2 SR primer is my favourite SR model and I use it in my Lawton 6BR bench gun.

When I first bought them (SP + LP) for revolver cartridges, they were the cheapest primers available in the UK, an absolute bargain at only £14 / 1,000, ie under $20. The fellow I bought them from told me that most of his customers rejected them on the basis of "They can't be any good at those prices!" and insisted on CCIs and Feds at over double the price. Changed times! (I've seen similar processes since, first for PMC/Murom [Russian], more recently Italian Fiocchi primers.)

Having read all of Laurie's writings and testing's on primers , I was going to answer , but he beat me to it . Solid primer . Very consistent . I have a couple of bricks of both sitting on the shelf . Along with five or six thou of those terrible S & B's in both sizes . Ya never know when you'll need some back-ups ......

I bought a case of these back during some other primer draught. They were a target of oppoutunity so I bought them just to have and in case I couldn't find any Winchester LR primers which were my preference @ the time.

I took to using them in my hunting rifles and saved my Winchester supply for my prone guns.

6MM Rem, several '06 6.5CM 308, 270W, 22/250, all were loaded with the MagTec 9 1/9 primers, and various propellents, always performed admirably. I'm down to 700 mas a' mino

I haven't seen any Magtech primers in years! I used a lot of them in the mid into late 90's. Hopefully they will be coming back around, I'd buy them again in a heartbeat!
