magnum primers

If they were available and the regular mag primers were not, then it would be a no brainer. I have several thousand, I figure that they probably are "at least as good" as the regular ones. Will be trying some in my 257 WBY soon.

I was told by a guy that visited Federal that all the primers are the same. The older more experienced workers do the match so they are supposed to be more consistent. If you weigh them it shouldn't make any difference. If I use match I weigh them just like I do the regular ones.

Why would you use match magnum primers.
For a precision magnum load of course.
If your shoving 90 grains of powder into a two dollar case to launch a 70 cent bullet, why wouldn't you spend an extra penny per shot if it made it the best it can be?
