Magneto Speed

Groups remain the same! Only changes POI. I have used two of them and not much difference with a Garmin set side by side. Maybe 1-3 fps shot to shot difference. I'm now a Garmin fan!
Same here . . . POI changes, but groups were not affected that I could tell (mounted on heavy sporter barrels).
Don’t buy a new one, it should be a buyer’s market on the magnetospeed used since so many have switched to the Garmin.
I'd say the same about the original Labradar. I still like mine and won't replace it. I am thinking of buying another one for backup since they are so cheap these days.
Where did you get your mount from?
I picked one from Amazon that has the Arca and Pic clamp in one.
Some folks would rather not spend that kind of money on a chrono. I put off purchase of a new barrel for quite a while to get the Labradar.

Good question. Only marking on it is on the picatinny clamp and it says. " American Defense Mfg."
I would have done a search an gone from there. Photo I posted shows rifle set up for prone and not offhand as I had mentioned earlier. Whatta Hobby!
The Magneto Speed’s really are a PITB to use.

No, but there are reports of using one causing baldness, ED, and a few other maladies, especially when used on a 6.5 Creedmoor. Also know to attract staples and other ferrous items. Went through three iterations. They work but yes, Garmin is the ticket.
Used my Magneto on a lot of different rifles. Accuracy with some didn't change, some it got worse and some it got better.
I have one clamp on muzzle break on a .300 WM and accuracy improved a lot. I guess the weight helped. Isn't that what the circle weights Limbsaver?) are supposed to do and what the Magneto MAY do?.
I had to tie a string from the Magneto to the trigger guard to keep it from sliding off the barrel during heavy recoil.

Is having a Garmin attached to a rifle a good idea. Wouldn't the recoil damage it in the long run. Just asking.
I use a magnetospeed but if I could afford a radar unit Id get one. I haven't investigated what attaching it to the barrel does to shot placement but assuming that it has an affect I modified mine and fabbed a mount so I can attach it via a picatinny rail to the chassis on my comp gun. It takes a few minutes to set up but works well and doesn't affect the shot. That doesn't work on my hunting rifle so I have to go about load development in a more old school approach, which is not as efficient but certainly works.
