Magneto speed adapter

Who is using some kind of adapter to get the Magneto speed off the barrel? I've read the reviews on three that i have found and so far none are very appealing. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Lloyd

Wiser precision it’s a great unit on off very quickly with quick detach clamps and of course no point of impact shift because it is not mounted to the barrel

I realize this is an answer to a question you didn't ask, but... I finally gave in and purchased a Lab Radar. Best investment shooting wise I ever made. I have a first version Magneto that served me well but, there is just no comparison. Chronograph every shot vs 5 or so with zero effect. I wish I had bit the bullet and purchased one long ago. Sorry for the derail.

I use one of the Wiser mounts. It's real handy for keeping everything together. The only adjustments are when I mount it one one of the suppressed guns.
That being said, I still feel there is some slight POI disruption when using it. Most likely will purchase a Labradar in the near future.

36” x 1” carbon fiber tube was $60.
(2) sets of UTG 1” scope mounts- $25
The picitinny rail section I used for the adapter I had laying around, those are probably $5-10.

was looking at amazon for the price of the carbon fiber tube. Holly cow, the price today was $160. Thankfully I got mine for 60.

As the owner of both a very early MagnetoSpeed and a Labradar, I find myself shaking my head when I see what lengths people will go to to attach a MagnetoSpeed to their rifle (i.e. long poles hanging off the rifle) so as not to have to spend the money for a LabRadar. By the time you've purchased the MagnetoSpeed and all the other Rube Goldberg junk it takes to attach it without hanging off the muzzle, you've probably spent about 2/3 of what the LabRadar would cost. Pay very close attention to Dean's post above (Medic505) if you are still on the fence about buying a LabRadar.

I got a used magneto speed sporter for 100 bucks and I got about 100 bucks in a mount from wiser precision for a total of 200 bucks

I use the MPA version. Works with ARCA-Swiss rails only. It's very nice to have it off the barrel. Not a big deal having it attached, but better and easier with it not hanging off.

Well, I just pulled the trigger on a Wiser mount. Of the other two options, the MK doesn't allow for any cant of the stock and SSS G.David Tubb is out of stock. The fellow on the phone didn't even know when they would be in stock, but said Tubb was working on an improved version.
no, time will tell.
Thanks to all that took the time to respond,

Lloyd

I made my own, it was $40 in materials and about an hour messing around on the mill/lathe. Works like a champ.
