M5 Inlet Drawing

Anyone have a drawing or dxf. file for a M5 inlet. I have a couple of stocks I need to change from bdl to M5 and thought I'd see if someone has something before I sit down with some measuring tools to reverse engineer it.

Thanks, John

I have one, but it is custom tailored to my setup which involves a fixture and a rotary table to get the angle needed for the tapered parts. It's an SVG and the forum won't let me attach it.

edit: let's try it as a PDF.

And here's the fixture:

This will probably need some explanation, but I'm too busy right now.

Gene,

Does your drawing have all the dimensions of the actual contour of the inlet. I'm planning on doing this in a cnc mill so I won't need to do anything with a rotary table. If it's a dxf. file I can just get all the info I need off of that.

I probably have a STEP file that I used to make the drawing. I'll see if I can dig that up.

Edit: Here's the solid that I did the drawing from. Would the STEP of this help? How about the FreeCAD sketch?

Gene,

The step files would work. I can take them to work and convert them to a dxf file that will work for me at home with the AutoCad version I have. Do you happen to have both long and short action drawings?

Thanks, John

I there any way I could get a copy of your file?

Thanks

I made a CAD file of the shape of the inlet to use as a template for cutting the stock for a badger M5. I used that to make a blueprint for use with a rotary table in order to get the side angles. Accurate Shooter won't let me upload a STEP file nor a zip of that file, so here's a link to my google drive:

Let me know if you need anything else.
