M2 Bipod - Need help identifying mounting type

Can anyone help me identify the mounting system on this M2 bipod? Very different from the gas block mounting system on typical M2 by pods for the M1A rifle.

M1A M2 Bipod

Hi, you all. Just wanted if someone here. Knows how to install Springfield Armory M-2 Bipod. This Bipod is made out of Taiwan, not china. This is real deal reproduction. However, I never put one like this before.. I do not know where it it goes.. and wouldn't not want to scratch my rifle in...
