M-Pro7 bore gel question

I have been using M-Pro7 Gun Cleaner (the spray bottle) for quite some time and have recently switched to their bore gel as I make less mess with it.

All the information I can find says these are the same cleaner, just different application methods.

I have noticed that the bore gel solution turns my patches blue, where the gun cleaner does not.

Has anyone used the bore gel and noticed the same thing? Is this an indication of copper fouling that the bore gel is taking out? I haven't been able to find any info that says the bore gel has got a copper remover mixed into it that is not in the gun cleaner.

I had blue patches after using sweets with the Mpro 7 gel. Good question. I just assumed I hadnt got all the copper out.
Edit: just read on their website removes carbon lead and most copper fouling

I've used the M Pro 7 bore cleaner (copper remover) for awhile now. My patches have a greenish color on them when copper is removed. I live in the south where you can find Academny Sports and Outdoors stores. Walked out of one last week with a couple of M Pro 7 products that were on clearance. Each had sold for around $13. One was the Gel you've asked about and other was M Pro 7 foam cleaner. They were priced $4.99 each. Haven't tried either one yet, so can't comment about what color will be on a patch.

I use a Shooters Choice Aqua Clean bore cleaner too. It definitely shows a blue when it removes copper.
