If you don't mind, let us know what the issue was.It does, still could not get it level.
Never been a complaint about the work, but rather receiving the scale and money then going silent for months, leaving customer fully pissed off and in the dark.Yes I’m familiar with Scott, On the positive side many people have an opposite experience and the product received is outstanding.
Huh. Put a small bubble level ontop of the scale and then use the left screw leg to level the bubble. THEN set all to zero and see where you are at on the pointer. if low then add some pieces of bird shot to pan to get to zero. ( can use an exacto blade to cut off slivers of lead). Then remove the screw from pan holder, gently remove with exacto and add the lead pellets you put in the pan.It does, still could not get it level.
Agree, just kept the money. Didn't receive a scale or a thank you for my contribution, four or five years nowNever been a complaint about the work, but rather receiving the scale and money then going silent for months, leaving customer fully pissed off and in the dark.
People nearly always like their hanger to be backwards and in the way of putting the pan on and taking it off. Start examining the scale images posted by people on the Internet. Maybe they feel that vanging the pan into the wire does something good. I don't know. People have lots of odd ideasYou should hang you pan the other way as it is alot easier to r/r. Then balance it. Dont use that big weight. Use checkweights or if you dont have use dimes. Look up how much they weigh and zero it based on your powder load.
Backwards is the proper way!People nearly always like their hanger to be backwards. Start examining the scale images posted by people on the Internet.

To clarify for someone slow on the uptake, the loop on the hook facing the beam (left) is the proper way, or the improper way?Backwards is the proper way!

Correct! Can cut lead shot with exacto blade to fine tune, esp if u change pans. Level scale first. Many people don't know this, That phillips head screw on the pan holder base is for taking it apart and there are pieces of lead shot in there, Sometimes you need to add or remove some lead shot to get the scale to zero properly, I've had to do that to a couple of scales in the past.
It probably wont need a "tune" unless it is malfunctioning. The pans and hangers are not interchangeable on these scales. Possibly got mixed with another scale. I'd adjust the hanger weight to zero scale to a point that you have a range of adjustment with the scales leveling screw . I'm still using an m5 I bought for $16.00 when I was a kid, have never seen any need for a tune up.
