LV stock

Why are these things so difficult to find ? I would be interested in a used or new "lightweight" stock to use while I wait patiently for the zoot material stock to come to fruition. I can probably repair, paint, re bed or bed for the kelbly's action
What's laying around your shop collecting sentiment or dust ?

Do you know what material its made from and what it started out life as ?

I assume it is a fiberglass stock.
It is from a friends estate so I really don't know details.
