Re-bedding a stock

I'm looking at re-bedding a HS Precision stock and am curious what's involved. Do I need to remove all the glass to the Aluminum bedding blocks or just enough to completely coat the bed with new Devcon? Thanks for the advise. Rick

Yes and no. You can scuff up the existing bedding and use that as a base line or like i would recommend, remove the bedding and rebed.

Thanks so much for the advise. Great links Jim! Thanks. I spoke with a smith I know and he confirmed it's only necessary to clean out complete so the Devcon makes a complete bed. He did recommend cutting out to the aluminum bedding blocks so you know it's solid. Thanks again for there input. Rick
