Love laying waste to coyotes!

Can't get most of my pics to upload. Me and my partner hunt them hard with NV and thermal in calibers from 22 nosler,22 cheetah,6 woa,243,6.5 grendel and rem 260. Any more I have no desire to hunt anything else. I'm what some would say ate up with it.

So I looked up the 6.8 SPC. Shares no parentage with the 5.56 NATO. Irony to me is that it is based on just about the oldest semi auto rifle round, the .30 Remington, and an obscure (to rest of the world and military) .277 caliber bullet that isn't even in it's design form, a 130g spitzer boat tail for hunting. Reversing the 75-yo US military shrinking and deadening military ammo trend which progressed (?) from 30-06 to .308 to 5.56 and now is being heralded for an opposite tangent. More power.

I missed the 6×45 reference. All I know is it shoots very well and absolutely hammers coyotes with the 75gr vmax.

I haven't hunted Yotes but they are all around and I like reading about them. Those look pretty well fed in addition to being pretty well dead. Thanks for sharing. What has worked best with your .243 and what twist barrel ? - thanks !!

58 vmax and 75 vmax in a 1:10 twist 87 vmax and 105 amax in a 1:7 twist.

Very nice!

The 6WOA has more boiler room & stompability than a 6x45. It's prolly closer to the 6BR in capacity...

Mike Milli's (DTECH) 6.8SPC based DTI wildcats blow the shoulder forward and out, resulting in a slightly shorter neck & more capacity than the 6WOA/6-6.8SPC. The WOA was designed to shoot heavy 'match' bullets, while DTECH's creation was designed more for light-mid weight 'varmint' bullets, hence the mild variation in case dimension...

IMHO, the 6.8SPC based cases are where it's at for AR-15 coyote killin'. Pick your poison & have fun!

I agree. And not just for coyote killing. I've got a 6.8 based wildcat called a 30 Herrett which fires 125 grain Speer TNT's in excess of 2600 ft./sec. Very accurately too!!

Here are a few more pics.
