Lot Consistency of RL 17

I recently finished a new build in 6.5 Creedmoor and have tried several bullet and powder combos including all the factory recipes with mixed results. This week I tried RL17 with both 123grain Amax and 140 Amax and got amazingly good results vs H4350 and Varget. My question is this....I only have about 25% of a 1lb jug left, and will have to buy more very soon. Will I have to work up my loads again, or does RL 17 seem to stay consistent lot to lot?
thanks

I get everything to shoot RL-17 very well. I use it in hunting rifles. Unfortunately, I have to agree that it is NOT very consistent from lot to lot. So I just buy everything off the shelf with the same lot number.

My experience was different from the two above posts but it is always a good idea to check a new lot in any event no matter what.

+1 on this post. Have changed lots at least 3 times (that I remember) and when checking the new lot.... ended up in the same spot as the first lot. Good luck with yours. WD

I have seen it posted somewhere that powder manufacturers lot to lot consistency is held to a 5% maximum deviation.

So I guess it'd be a crap shoot to expect to get a twin to your previous lot.
