Lost tools

There's a reason I have 3 Sinclair outside neck turners.
The 3rd one happened when I couldn't find #'s 1 & 2 or remember who I loaned them out to.
I currently have 2. One that I loaned out finally found it's way back to me after being missing for several years.

Years ago I downsized from a 450 long bed service truck to a 150… company logic. Anyway I had a wad of specialty tools that came off the truck and went into my shop.

Fast forward 7-8 years; I’d retired and was going through my shop consolidating and liquidating. Son of a ____ I found those tools. Of course I’d already replaced them.
That is the reason a lot of service trucks have the back bumper dragging on the ground. ;)

Couldn't find my everyday depth mic. Looked all around where I might have set it or where I remembered using it and nothing. Got another out and used it for a week or so. Went back to finish a job that was sitting on the mill. Right there mixed with other tooling but under a post it note was the mic. I looked there several times but never looked under that note o_O

I was at the Florida Flywheelers in Jan and the guy that has the best and biggest bunch of tools for sale, was asked by me for 2 or 3 Craftsman 10mm 3/8s drive sockets. His reply at first was laughter, finally he says "I don't have 3 of them in my own toolbox at home."

One things for sure, go buy another replacement then you will find the lost one. On the bright side you now have two to misplace.
Years ago, while remodeling, I needed a basin wrench and opted for a high-quality one from Rigid, thinking it would be a one-time purchase. After using it, I carefully stored it in a spot I believed would be easy to find in the future. However, when the time came years later, I couldn’t locate it. Frustrated, I bought another identical wrench from the same brand. Determined not to lose it again, I placed it in a memorable spot—ironically, the same place as before. Now, I own two identical basin wrenches.
