Neil Jones of Neil Jones Custom Products passed away on April 4, 2026. Neil made great dies and powder measures and other shooting related tools. Also did gunsmithing. Prayers to the family.

Very sad to hear. Neil produced excellent products. At least he made it to 88 -- a good, long life.
From the obituary: "[Neil] proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1955 until 1959 and was in the National Guard. Following his military service, he completed the Talon Tool and Die apprenticeship program. He was the owner/operator of Neil Jones Custom Products for over 40 years. Prior to that, he was employed at Talon Tool and Die, co-owned Devore Tool in Cochranton for four years [.] Over many years he was involved in accuracy shooting and benchrest matches and was a champion benchrest shooter himself in 1971."

His name will always be associated with precision and quality and I think that is quite a legacy to leave behind and certainly one to be very proud of. RIP Mr. Jones.

Prayers for the family. I have many products Neil made and will always relish all the help he provided for me and others. He made great parts for many of us. I had spoken with him quite a few times over the last six to eight months. He certainly is in a better place now. I will miss him very much.
