Lord Help Us

Yup, it's been all downhill since that lady won a lawsuit against McDonalds because she burned herself on a cup of coffee from the drive through.
What i wanna know is, why is there brail on the drive through ATM???

The lifeguard at the gene pool should be fired! :D
Just to clarify, the coffee cup lid popped off because the McDonald’s employee didn’t secure it properly. I have had countless lids being loose on McDonald’s coffee cups from the drive through. That’s the fault of the idiots McDonald’s hires, who unfortunately will be are further leadership.

What I find funny yet sad is that a coffee cup has “Contents are HOT” printed on the side of the cup, but in small print.

As for brail at a drive up ATM, kind of makes sense the way some people drive like they are blind.

Also it was discovered that the coffee was 200 degrees and it was a for McDonald’s not to honor their free coffee refills bc the coffee would take so long to cool down. The lady got second and third degree burns.

Farm store Hornady reloading bullets purchase, after the check out scanned it. "Can I see your ID?" Me "no, it's not ammo". Clerk "the machine says check ID". I swiped my card and asked for a receipt. Clerk "I need to see ID before check out". Me" I paid for bullets not ammo". The clerk touched the screen and my receipt printed, I thanked her. She said " that's not ammo?" Me, "no just bullets for making ammo". Clerk "I will tell the supervisor to fix the computer". I am 61, haven't looked 18 for about a decade.

Son works at gun shop.. People come in and buy 38 super after asked if they are sure that is what they want they go ahead and purchase. Many times it comes back later because it "wont fit" and then they get upset when they cant return ammo

Recently had a neighbor from down the street stop by and offer me 200 9mm bullets. Seems he bought them thinking it was loaded ammo. The sales clerk told him at checkout that it wasn't ammo but he figured the clerk (girl) didn't know what she was talking about and he bought 2 boxes anyway. I don't and won't go near him in the future.

Winchesters fault, Remember the head stamp 38 SPL SUPER X.... I mean for me it was just another way to sort Winchester brass from R-P or UMC at a glance

The “coffee lady is dumb” McDonald’s trope is one of the best executed smear campaigns the world has ever seen. The American public was played like an absolute fiddle.

the old lady only even wanted enough to pay for her damned skin grafts at first, and was made out to be the flaming example of American pussification. Sad.

We have estimates of over 10 million new gun owners since the start of 2020

10 million.

most of whom didn’t get the opportunity to learn from their parents like we did. Maybe instead of us acting like this is the end of the world we should understand they are new and instead of acting like 12 year olds pointing at the new kid we should be happy about it and try to help them out.

As though hot coffee won't do that. Or sauce on a just-from-the-oven pizza or lasagna. Or any similar disregard for dangerous items.

Granted, that story got trotted about so much that she got the poor end of the stick. Still, unless a staffer actually threw the thing at her (knowing it was scaldingly hot), there's not a lot of claim there. No matter that she "only" wanted medical bills covered, or whatever. I feel for her. But, still. Hot things are hot. It's what happens when an "oops" moment occurs. Not that that makes it somebody else's fault, though.

the next time a diner hands you coffee 5 degrees below boiling and doesn’t mention it maybe you’ll change your tune.

then find out over 700 people have already been scalded by it on record with 3rd degree burns and it’s purposefully hotter than recommended serving temperature

Regression to the mean is a measurable phenomena. Unfortunately, it appears the mean and median are noticeably shifting to the left.
Multiple Federal agencies produce laws by way of regulation that require an engineer to anticipate the dangers of an article of manufacture where the average person may harm themselves or others with misuse.
Meanwhile, the Université des Idiots produces summa cum laude graduates at an accelerating pace.
Attorneys clean up the mess created in the gap between engineers and graduates, taking their 1/3 cut in the process.
Darwinism doesn't happen early or fast enough.

Meanwhile...
The clerk asks me if I know those "bullets" I'm buying are not loaded ammunition.
I feign surprise, "what - I can't just put these in my gun and shoot?!"
We do this every time I go visit, laugh and both shake our heads.
And the check out clerk *still* has to verify that I'm 18. Yeah, I look old, so they hit the "verification not needed" input on the screen.

I think this is what you get when you create a generation that relies on electronics and they cant think for themselves. JMHO. LDS
Oh it's not generational, but the electronics certainly have lowered the critical thinking skills of many people to somewhere between an earthworm and a turnip.

Lady walks into my shop who is easily 55+ and describes a problem with her car, and can I look at it. Very simple answer, If you can leave it I can work it in in the next couple hours, or an appointment next week.

Lots of out loud critical analysis of what she and her husband can do for the next couple hours since they are traveling, ends with I need to check with my husband. Out the door she walks.

3 minutes later the phone rings, same exact question is asked by a man. Same exact answer, leave it with me for a couple hours, I'll work it in. Wonderful says he, I'll need directions.

I ask "where are you coming from" and the answer is, South end of town, by the big church. I sneak a peak out the window and see a man staring at my 12'X18" sign that only has the name and phone number on it and reply, "Walk in the same door your wife just walked out of".

If it's on the phone, it's true. If it's not on the phone it does not exist.

Tell me one more time, "but google says you do" and it's to the moon Alice.

Doubt it.

Nobody should be so foolish with hot or cold items to simply blindly take it all on faith. She was. Heck, we learned that lesson by age five. She clearly hadn't. Wasn't hardly the restaurant's fault for making a hot product hot, though many disagree with that (and did at the time).
