loose primer

Bought some Lapua .308win several years back that were listed as 1x by a match shooter. Maybe 5% had loose pockets when seating with Lee hand primer tool. How many firings really on these? I will never know for sure.

Any magnum case that is brand new and seats primer loosely is defective. Unless you bought sealed envelope or other factory package, maybe you got stainless steel cleaned fired cases? Bad batch brass does happen. Would contact Remington or return to dealer if were mine.

Stainless steel cleaning media removes the honest trace evidence that give reliable means to judge fired brass. I am very mistrustful of it. Thoroughly cleansed brass isn't important or necessary. I will not buy ss media cleaned brass.

Just some thoughts. Loose primer pockets and 90gr of slow burning powder is recipe for disaster. Take/send those back for replacement today...
