Or those in the market for a AMP. If the Quick Annealer can do the same or more for $500-$600 less. Why pay more ? Competition is always a good thing for the consumer .Same here ... I love my AMP and the support has been terrific. That said, different and imaginative solution that requires no pilot and no case holder ... it'll be interesting to see how they pull that off. Their market isn't AMP owners ... who already are happy with their solution. Their market is the "Wish I could afford AMP" reloader that is still lighting up propane torches in their garages.
I agree. In time, there will surely be more competition, and someone will eventually come out with something better. Seems someone could come out with a pretty cheap version which could be caliber specific, if it were significantly cheaper for doing high-volume brass. Doing away with the case holders a bonus. The AMP is a pretty cool piece of equipment. I recently bought one and ran 1,000 pieces through. Nothing to complain about - other than getting over the price tag.It looks nice, Is this a Garmin/Labradar situation. No. Not close. I do like the latest and greatest, but saving one piece of test brass would not be enough to cause me to switch. If I did not own neither, than maybe. I like how the brass you just drop in
I think a simple hopper configuration, like say the Giraud annealer or the Annealeez, could be set up to feed reliably using a similar motor and wheel with a shute angled to let the case slide into the opening of the annealer. Now if this annealer had a little conveyer belt on the top that auto dropped in the brass, amp would be up for sale
Wait, your supposed to do the flame annealing in a separate part of the house? Kidding. But, your explanation is spot on. I would consider and possibly buy this if it were close to Performing like an AMP. I can’t justify and won’t spend $1500 plus on an amp.Same here ... I love my AMP and the support has been terrific. Lol. Now it’s a consideration
At one point a few years back I sold my early production AMP to a local shooter for $800. after deciding to only shoot SR-BR.....After a few more years I missed the LR-BR and the same model I had sold came up here for $800..............The classifieds around here work great if you are patient or just ask what youWait, your supposed to do the flame annealing in a separate part of the house? Just as I was thinking. And as usual, I find an idea of mine not being unique.
